About the project

Mak Fai's next WAVE has arrived. On May 9, 2026, the 44th Can-Am International Martial Arts Tournament was held at the Richmond Olympic Oval in Canada. For the first time in the team's history, Mak Fai Kung Fu Dragon & Lion Dance Association sent two Junior Division lion dance teams to represent Seattle, Washington, in competition at the international level. This video captures the journey of our youngest generation, the next wave, preparing for this challenge, and the guidance provided to them by their coaches, families, and community to help them reach new heights in the sport of lion dancing.
