Set in the romantic halls of Palazzo Te in Mantua — a place steeped in history and longing — Prince Gonzaga falls in love with Love: a Viking dancer from another time. Guided by the invisible forces of Past, Present, and Future, he embarks on a dreamlike ritual of transformation. Their bodies move through an enchanted choreography that transcends time. Beneath the surface of this story, another narrative unfolds: a dancer wrapped in elastic fabric struggles to break free. Her body becomes a visual metaphor for rebirth — a passage from inner confinement to rediscovery of self. Filmed entirely in the evocative rooms of Palazzo Te, once the pleasure residence of Federico II Gonzaga, the short film merges contemporary dance, historic architecture, and chamber music into a vision suspended between dream and memory. The original soundtrack, “Let Me Steal the Time”, composed by Savino Valerio (Plaza De Mundo Project), gently accompanies the story — evoking stolen time, transcendent love, and the fragile beauty of moments that change us. “The Cocoon of Love” is a danced tale of love across time — where the soul, wrapped in silence, finds the courage to be reborn.
